A few individuals passionate about wildlife conservation got together to embark on this amazing journey. Growing Wild was the name chosen for the group and over the next few years, the members of the group were involved in various wildlife conservation efforts across multiple wildlife sanctuaries, joining hands with other committed groups and organizations
A decision was made to focus a specific landscape to ensure that the efforts are more focussed and impactful. After deliberations and based on inputs from long-serving, committed conservationsists, Cauvery Wildlife Sanctuary (CWLS) was chosen and the group name was changed to Vanodaya. CWLS is the largest protected area in Karnataka spread over an area of 1027 sq.kms. It has been a wonderful journey ever since with a lot more volunteers joining including folks from the villages in and around the sanctuary.The organization now has a diverse group of individuals - a few well qualified in the field, few vastly experienced and others sincerely interested, who are working for the betterment of CWLS
After three years of continued commitment, the informal group was registered as a trust. We continue to engage in multiple conservation related activites in CWLS. Get in touch with us to be a part of this amazing journey.
